Moulton S Webster Post, No 68

Surrendered charter: Listed in 1898 state encampment; not found in 1907.

Sandwich, NH resident Moulton S Webster was a 2nd Lieut in Co K, 14th New Hampshire Infantry, having enlisted as a private on 14 Aug 1862, and was promoted on 9 Oct '62. He was wounded on 19 Sept 1864 at the Battle of Opequon, Virginia (aka Third Battle of Winchester). He returned home to Sandwich, where he died on 5 Nov 1864 [Ayling] or 31 Oct [History of 14th NH].
