Adams K. Tilton Post, No. 62
 Tilton, NH

Named for Adams K Tilton, a captain of Co I, 6th New Hampshire Infantry. Originally mustered in as a sergeant, he was promoted to 2nd Lieut on 1 Sept 1862, to 1st Lieut on 1 Nov 1863, and to captain on 2 July 1864. He was killed in action at Poplar Grove Church, VA on 30 Sept 1864.




Organized: 6 Oct 1881

First organized with twelve charter members, and met in the Knights of Honor Roll Hall. They afterwards used the Northfield town hall before moving to the hall in Hill's Block in 1882.
