New Hampshire's Last Civil War Veteran:
Nashua

James H Hall

Died 4 Jan 1937

   James H Hall, the last Civil War veteran, died today at his home on Dunstable Rd. He was born November 20, 1842. At the break of the Civil War he enlisted in Co F of the 3rd Regiment of New Hampshire Volunteers and saw action at Hilton Head, Drury Bluff, Morris Island, Fort Wagner, Fort Fisher, Wilmington and Petersburg.

   He was the son of Joshua Jr and Sarah F (Whitney), born in East Pepperell, MA. He was buried in the City Cemetery, Nashua, NH.
