The report in the Department of NH Encampment of Feb. 1883 mentioned that the town of West Windham was thinly settled and had only a few former Civil War soldiers. That year, the post only had 15 members, and two had already moved from town.
It had disbanded some time prior to 1887, when the number 63 was now assigned to the newly formed Cornish Post.
