Col W S Pillsbury Camp, No 36

The camp for named for William S Pillsbury. He served first in the 4th NH Infantry as a private, and later with the 9th NH Infantry as Lieut, both positions he resigned from due to injury or sickness. He would reenlist again, this time with the 1st NH Heavy Artillery. He was mustered out of service on 15 June 1865. His rank of colonel didn't come from his Civil War service, but from his work as military aid-de-camp to the NH governor.
