Canney Camp Members Celebrate 10th Anniversary Event
6-7 October 2012 - At the Cullimore Farm on New Durham's Ridge Road, members of the Canney Camp (reenacting as 12th NH soldiers) returned for its 10th annual encampment, setting up a living history display for the recruitment and training of enlistees into the regiment. Co-hosted by the New Durham Historical Society, whose bake sale tables were set-up near by, the yearly event helps to raise money for the Civil War Memorial Scholarship Fund, as well as show the visiting public what camp life was like for the Civil War soldier.
