New Hampshire's Last Civil War Veteran:
Ossipee

John Folsom

Died 7 Apr 1929

John Folsom, 83, Ossipee's last surviving veteran of the Civil war, died yesterday at the Folsom residence, where he had made his home for the greater part of his life.

He was born in Ossipee, NH on 23 May 1845, the son of Erastus and Eunice (Wood) Folsom. He is buried in the Town Cemetery, Ossipee.
